Stony Creek woman faces welfare fraud charges

STONY CREEK, N.Y. -- The Warren County Sheriff's Department arrested a Stony Creek woman on welfare fraud charges. Deputies said Corinna Robinson, 34, didn't accurately report her total household income when applying for food stamps and medical assistance benefits.

They said she received more than $6,000 in food stamps that she was ineligible for. Robinson is charged with welfare fraud and grand larceny in the third degree, and two counts of offering a false instrument. She was arraigned in Queensbury Court and is expected back on September 4.
