AMSTERDAM, N.Y. -- Police arrested an Amsterdam man they say is responsible for a drive-by shooting.

Amsterdam police say they received a call around 10 p.m. Monday for a report of shots fired on Union Street. Several hours later, police say they received another call for an incident on Brookside Avenue involving guns.

Raul Vasquez, 18, was identified as one of the suspects in the shooting incident. Vasquez has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, forgery and false impersonation for the using a false name during a previous arrest earlier in the month. Police say more arrests are possible.
