GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- The countdown continues until the start of high school football.

Fans are just three days away from cheering on their local athletes. Over in Gloversville, the Huskies will try to improve on last year's record.

Gloversville missed the playoffs after going 5-4 last season, but just 1-4 in the Northwest Division. That division is stacked again this year with Amsterdam, Burnt Hills, Queensbury and South Glens Falls to compete against.

The Huskies are young and they've got a new quarterback under center in Asa Barnhill, but Head Coach Jared Bongo thinks his team can still be pretty good this year.
