Woman pleads guilty to sixth DWI
SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Saratoga Springs woman has pleaded guilty to her sixth DWI.
Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy says Sally Longton, 43, was arrested for DWI on June 23rd. Murphy says after she crossed a double line into oncoming traffic and a witness called 911 to report her erratic driving.
Murphy says Longton was charged with DWI after refusing to take a breathalyzer test. Murphy says Longton was also charged with three counts of harassment after she kicked a Ballston Spa police officer in the groin and spit in his face at the time of her arrest.
Longton faces a maximum sentence of up to two to six years in state prison. She will reappear in court on October 25th.
