EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- Crews were called to the scene of a fire in East Greenbush Wednesday night. It happened at an abandoned structure in the woods off of Start Avenue.

Fire officials say the call came in a little before 8 p.m.

Here's a shot of the fire when it was at its strongest.

Firefighters say they had a hard time getting to the house because of it being down a narrow road.

"Seeing that the building is 500 to 600 feet off the road, we committed a water apparatus to go down a very narrow trail. Setting up a water supply took about 15 to 20 minutes. We do have hydrants available to us so we were able to set up a water supply in and distinguish a fire," said East Greenbush Assistant Fire Chief Bob Lehmann.

Some minor brush fires started as a result to the fire, but they have since been put out.
No word yet on what sparked the fire.
