MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. -- The city of Mechanicville is looking to conserve water by limiting the time residents can water their lawn.

The city said restrictions impact residents in the city of Mechanicville, the town of Stillwater, Hemstreet Park, Willow Glenn and Pruyn Hill.

Those with even number houses can water their lawn on even number calendar days and those with odd number houses can water their lawn on odd number calendar days.

Those who violate the restrictions face a $250 fine.
