Two arrested for stealing from construction trailer
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- East Greenbush Police have arrested two people after they say they tried to steal more than a thousand dollars worth of copper from a construction trailer on the property of the New York Independent Security Operators.
Police say a security officer at the corporation reported the theft. They say after a traffic stop, officers found Alexea Paschall of Albany and Nicole Levanites of Watervliet with $500 of copper tubing, $600 in copper wiring and two drills valued at $400 .
The two face burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief and trespass charges and are in custody at the Rensselaer County Jail.
