NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- A community gathers together to pay their respects to a fallen soldier from North Adams.

Calling hours are being held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Private First Class Michael DeMarsico.

The 2010 graduate of Drury High School was killed by an IED in Afghanistan earlier this month.

Supporters came out in droves this week when his body returned to the states. A motorcade took his body by the Veteran's Memorial Park and on to the Flynn and Dagnoli funeral home.

The funeral will be Saturday morning at the First Baptist Church on Main Street.
