SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. -- The summer may be winding down, but there are still a couple of opportunities left to take in the season. The Schaghticoke Fair kicked off Wednesday.
It is the third oldest fair in the state, now it in it's 193rd year. The fair features petting zoos, games, rides, and food. The event is fun for not only those attending, but also for those working.
"I really like people, I like interacting with people," said Billy Clough, fair worker. "Its fun to have a nice conversation with people, meet new people all the time. Just the good food, the good atmosphere."
The fair runs through Monday. General admission tickets are $11 and kids under 13 get in free.
