SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- After a decade of helping Schenectady High School students, the annual Mike Canty Fun Run is coming to an end. Saturday is the tenth and final run for the Michael Canty Memorial Fund.

Although the family and board of trustees decided to end the run, the scholarship program will still be available to high school students. Canty was a Schenectady resident who died in the World Trade Center during the 9/11 attacks. And, since the start of the fund, at least ten students have been awarded scholarships. Today's run kicks off at 3:00 p.m. at Schenectady's Central Park, followed by a barbecue at 4:30 p.m.
