LATHAM, N.Y. -- State Police said one person was killed in a rollover accident on the Northway. It happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday near exit 8A. Police said an SUV was driving south when the driver lost control, crossed the right shoulder, and rolled over.

The front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name was not released. Traffic was backed up on the Northway for hours after the accident. Police are still investigating the cause.
