GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- A Long Island man who was rescued from Lake George over the weekend has died.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said Raja Podapoti, 28, was reported missing by friends from a beach at Sheppard's Park on Sunday.

Lifeguards located him submerged underwater a short time later and pulled him out.

Lifeguards and paramedics were able to restore Podapoti’s heartbeat and he was taken to Glens Falls Hospital. He died around 11 p.m.

The cause of death has been determined to be an accidental drowning.
