ALBANY, N.Y. -- A pair of UAlbany football stars have been honored by the NEC.

Guilderland grad Drew Smith has been named the leagues offensive player of the week. He rushed for a career high 174 yards a two touchdowns against Colgate on Saturday.

Ocieka Bakou was named the leagues special teams player of the week. He blocked two punts against the Raiders, one for a safety and the other for a touchdown.

UAlbany beat Colgate 40-23 to start the season. They visit Robert Morris for a conference clash on Saturday at Noon.
