ALBANY, N.Y. -- Steinway pianos are the choice for modern-day Beethovens at the College of St. Rose.
A handful of Steinway pianos rolled into the college Thursday. St. Rose is replacing 30 of their current ones with the industry’s finest.
Down the road, the college wants to become an "All Steinway School." That prestigious designation is only reserved for roughly 140 schools and conservatories worldwide.
"With the ability to be able to practice on it, I really hope to excel as a pianist and as a music teacher," said Jansen Morehouse.
"I'm very excited and very excited to be a freshman because I now have four years of this," Maria Rabbia said.
The pianos were used at the renowned Chautauqua Institution during their recent season.
