SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The victim of an assault in Schenectady has died at Ellis Hospital.

Police say they received a 911 call around 9 p.m. Thursday about two people involved in an altercation. They say Harold Gotti, 43, was found unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of 1255 State Street and later died at the hospital. Police say according to witnesses, it was two people against one.

"No arrests. Cause of death at this time is unknown. He is scheduled for an autopsy tomorrow afternoon," said Schenectady Police Department Lieutenant Mark McCracken.

Police say it does not appear that any weapons were used during the assault.
