LATHAM, N.Y. -- Seafood lovers camped out Sunday night. Joe's Crab Shack opened Monday for lunch in Latham.

The first 100 people in line received vouchers for a free bucket of snow crab every month for a year. Coupons were also offered for free desserts, appetizers and entrees in exchange for charitable donations to support the No Kid Hungry campaign.

One Albany resident says she got there at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

"The seafood is seasoned. My family in the city have told me about it and I'm ready to try it. Also, the free crab for a year. That also persuaded me," she said.

The restaurant is on Troy-Schenectady Road near Latham Farms. It's is the first Joe's Crab Shack chain to open in the Capital Region.
