Standoff ends in Niskayuna neighborhood

NISKAYUNA, N.Y. -- Roads are back open in a Niskayuna neighborhood a police standoff closed the area for several hours on Monday.

Police say shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, they responded to a 16-year-old with loaded weapons in his home on Cunningham Court. They say there was another person in the house and he was threatening to commit suicide and shoot at police officers if confronted.

After several hours of negotiation, the other person left the house.

Finally, around 11 p.m., the teen also came out and was arrested without incident. He is now facing felony weapons charges.
