ALBANY, N.Y. -- A former America East rookie of the year and Great Dane sharp shooter is coming back to Albany. Jon Iati has been named as an assistant coach on Will Brown's staff.

Iati is replacing another former Great Dane, Brent Wilson, who has taken another coaching job.

Iati spent the last five seasons on the Quinnipiac staff.

During his time as a Great Dane, he was a 1,000 point scorer and shot around 36 percent from distance during his career.

Iati will have the opportunity to coach his brother Jacob who is playing in his final season with the UAlbany program.
