SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man will spend the next five years in prison after pleading guilty to burning down his former girlfriend's apartment building.
George Kendo admitted to setting the fire at the Broadway apartment in September of 2009 after getting in a fight with his ex-girlfriend.
He was sentenced Tuesday to 60 months behind bars for arson as well as three years of supervised release. He also will have to pay nearly a quarter million dollars in restitution.
