Four arrested for selling fake bus tickets
MONTICELLO, N.Y. -- Police arrested four ticket agents working at the Monticello Shortline bus terminal that they say sold duplicate copies of bus tickets for a profit.
Monticello police say the company's management discovered Precious Rampe, Lashawn Gaddis, Victoria Somers and Denise Cruz were making duplicate copies of tickets and selling them for $30 each, then keeping the money. They say Rampe, Gaddis and Somers sold 750 tickets, worth a total of $22,500.
Authorities also say Cruz was found with almost 100 duplicate tickets in her cash drawer.
All four suspects have been charged with felony grand larceny. Police say there may be more charges.
