NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- In honor of 9/11, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh broke ground Tuesday near Washington’s Headquarters. The new homes will provide five habitat families with a safe and affordable place to live.
Once completed, there will be 24 homes in total.
"By building community, routing homeowners and the dignity of being a homeowner and providing for their families in a way that is a sustainable solution. It gives a symbol of hope to this day that so often causes much pain,” said Cathy Collins.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of April.
