SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Students at Schenectady County Community College now have a new music wing.

The eight additional practice rooms adjoin the current music wing, which features a live recording studio, two specialized music classrooms, recital space and more.

One student said he is looking forward to practicing in the new area.

George Saide said, "With this new practice facility, it is very encouraging for students to stay here and do more work here. Being in a clean space is a very uplifting energy for students. They feel what they are doing here is a qualifiable field, and this new building really shows that."

The project was funded by the County of Schenectady and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
