Teen arrested on child endangerment charges
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- A Gloversville teen was arrested and charged Wednesday after police say a young boy was sexually abused while in his care.
Edward Rowback III, 19, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
Police say they began investigating a report of a sexual assault of a juvenile male less than two-years-old back in February. It was learned that the child sustained injuries related to the assault while under the care and supervision of Rowback.
The investigation also showed that Rowback knew of the injury and made no attempt to seek medical attention for the child’s injuries.
Rowback was arraigned in Gloversville City Court Wednesday and released. Police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges and arrests may be pending.
