ALBANY, N.Y. -- A former elementary school teacher was sentenced to five and a quarter years in federal prison for receiving child pornography.
Timothy Brehmer, 35, of Broadalbin, who was a music teacher in the Ballston Spa Central School District, pleaded guilty in June to receiving images and videos of child pornography.
He admitted that between April 2007 and December 2011, he used the Internet to access various child pornography websites and downloaded images and videos to his home computer.
As part of his sentence, Brehmer was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors and he is required to register as a sex offender.
