RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Schodack Police have arrested a Castleton man after they say he's the person responsible for Tuesday's hit and run in the Village of Castleton.

Police say Louis Avellino struck a teenager on Scott Avenue and that the 17-year-old was treated for several injuries at the scene.

Police say evidence lead them to Avellino's vehicle. They say he faces several charges, including reckless endangerment, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and improper lane usage.

Avellino is scheduled to return to the Town of Schodack Court in October.
