SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Union football team is in search of its first win of the season, which they hope to get at Ithaca on Saturday. But they'll have to do it without wide receiver and Albany Academy grad Jimmer Bennett, who will miss the game after injuring his knee in Saturday's game against Utica. Bennett is still waiting on MRI results.
The Dutchmen will also be without their other starting wide receiver Chris Paolini who will not play in the Ithaca game.
So the Dutchmen will be a little shorthanded, and they know they've got their work cut out for them against a good Bombers team.
Union has never won at Ithaca, but they hope to change that and get things rolling in the right direction before the start of league play.
The Dutchmen know the first win of the season could build some much needed momentum.
