RENSSELAER, N.Y. -- There is a boil water advisory in effect for the City of Rensselaer from 5 p.m. Thursday until 5 p.m. Friday.

The advisory is for Washington Avenue from I-90 east to Route 4. It also includes Van Allen Park and Eastland Park to the Mansions.

The advisory is due to an accident involving a fire hydrant on Washington Ave.
