ALBANY, N.Y. -- Police arrested four UAlbany students for serving alcohol to minors at two separate house parties in Pine Hills. The arrests come days after UAlbany officials and police announced they are cracking down on underage drinking and noise ordinances.
Police say they were called to 19-year-old Joseph Ryan's Hamilton Street apartment just before midnight on Thursday. When officers arrived, they say a large house party was taking place where minors were being served beer.
Ryan was arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor. Police say he was also ticketed for unnecessary and unusual noise and littering in a public place under the general city ordinances.
Police also arrested Alyson Best, Clayton White and Dylan Gandy, who are all 21. Police say they hosted an underage drinking party on Hudson Avenue, just before 1 a.m. Friday.
Best, White and Gandy were all arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor. They were also ticketed for unnecessary and unusual noise under the general city ordinances.
