PRATTSVILLE, N.Y. -- The Route 23 Bridge is back open for travel today, after being closed for a week. The bridge over the Schoharie Creek in Prattsville has been closed since last week when an inspector found cracks in a steel truss.

Route 23 was heavily damaged by be Irene and Lee, but crews say the cracks weren't related to the flooding.

There were several detours in place during the closure, but they took people far out of the way to cross the creek.
