MILTON, N.Y. -- Three black bears are dead following two separate car accidents in the Town of Milton.

Police say an 18-year-old was driving westbound on Galway Road on Sunday night when a black bear ran in front of his car. The teen was not hurt, but the bear did die in the accident.

Police say around 11:30 p.m. that same night, two other bears were hit by a vehicle on Northline Road. The driver in that crash was also not hurt, but those bears died as well.
