SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Coming off the most successful season in program history, the Union hockey team is getting back to work, looking to build on their Frozen Four appearance.
The Dutchmen are back on campus and practicing getting ready for their season opener, which is less than three weeks away. Tuesday the team was presented their ECAC championship rings before practice. Union had a dream season last year, winning the ECAC, going to the NCAA tournament and making it all the way to the Frozen Four - all of which were program firsts. The goal is to do more of the same this season, but the veterans have made it clear this is a new team and a new season.
One guy who was practicing with Union was former Dutchman Jeremy Welsh. He's working out before the AHL season starts.
