Parolee found guilty of early morning assault

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old college student.
Jurors found Troy Parker, 45, guilty of felony strangulation and robbery. Police said in March 2011, Parker followed the woman as she was walking home, sexually assaulted and strangled her. They said he also stole her cell phone.
He faces life in prison when sentenced in November.
