ALBANY, N.Y. -- Best Buddies of the Capital Region is holding its "Evening Under the Stars" fundraising gala at the skytop terrace of Taste in downtown Albany on Friday. This is the non-profit's fifth year for the event.

Best Buddies strives to create one-to-one friendships and job opportunities for area students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

A night of gourmet food and drink will be capped off with a live auction. The VIP reception is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and features an extensive bourbon list, hand rolled cigars and Valente's award winning mac and cheese. The main reception continues from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a selection of food prepared by the chefs of Taste.
