Schenectady teen arrested after burglarizing homes

SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady teen has been arrested after police say he burglarized two homes in the Town of Rotterdam. It happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday on Myrtle Avenue.

Police say a woman heard noises in her house and when she went to investigate, a person fled from her home. According to police, another resident on Myrtle Avenue reported a burglary with a description of the suspect. Shortly after, police apprehended Romello Hill, 17.

Police say Hill was still in the neighborhood and found in possession of stolen items from the homes. He was charged with burglary and taken to Schenectady County Jail on $10,000 bail.
