GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- Gloversville police are asking for the public's help as they investigate a robbery that happened earlier this month.

The robbery happened the morning of September 4th on the Rail Train near the animal shelter between West Pine and West Fulton streets. A woman reported being approached by two suspects and was then assaulted and knocked to the ground. Police said her money and cigarettes were stolen, but she was not injured.

Police are hoping to identify and interview all four people in the video because they may have information related to the incident.

Det. Joseph Kadle of the Gloversville Police Department said, "These people that are walking in the video may or may not have seen something or may have heard something, may have saw somebody else over in the area that would lead us in the direction that we need to go."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gloversville Police Department at (518) 773-4505 or (518) 773-4502.
