MASSACHUSETTS -- Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown and his Democratic challenger, Elizabeth Warren, squared off in their first debate Thursday. The two debated on jobs, taxes, the economy, the war in Afghanistan, women's issues and Warren's claim of Native American heritage.
Recent polls show a tight race for the seat that Brown, a Republican, has held for the last two years.
Warren is currently a Harvard law professor.
In 2010, Brown defeated Attorney General Martha Coakley in a special election for the seat, which was formerly held by the late Senator Ted Kennedy.
