RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police have arrested a Stephentown man they say stabbed his older brother during a fight.

State Police say they received a call around 4 a.m. Saturday for a stabbing at a party on Sutherland Road. They say Christopher Beckwith, 28, stabbed his brother with a knife many times in the torso and arm.

Beckwith has been charged with assault and possession of a weapon and is being held at Rensselaer County Jail without bail.

His brother was taken to Berkshire Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
