ALBANY, N.Y. -- A wanted parolee is still on the loose after a chase through the City of Albany.

Police say the man was pulled over during a routine traffic stop around Colonie Street when he got out of his car and ran away. A perimeter was set up, but the suspect was lost in the area.

One neighbor says neighborhood kids were at risk.

"’Cause that car pulled up here at least 50 miles an hour and the police car pulled up here at least 60 miles per hour. They can't do that, it's too dangerous,” Simeon Tulloch said.

"Nope, no car chase. Let's make that known. The officer activated his lights, the car stopped and the person ran off and was chased by foot," said Albany Police Spokesman Steve Smith.

A nearby home was checked for the man, but with no success.
