ALBANY, N.Y. -- UAlbany officials say one of their students was shot during a fight that happened off-campus. It happened on Hudson Avenue in the Pine Hills neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The student’s injuries are not life-threatening, and the victim has been released from the hospital.

UAlbany's Chief of Police sent out a campus e-mail to students and staff saying the university is working with Albany police to determine the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
