ALBANY, N.Y. -- Former Burnt Hills and current UAlbany standout Paul Layton has one more year of eligibility left after this season, but he will likely not use it with Albany.

Layton will finish his undergraduate degree at the end of this semester and then he said he will look to go to an FBS school to get his graduate degree and use his final year of eligibility.

Layton, who is a punter, said he would like to be at a new school by January so he can go through spring workouts with a new team. Layton has generated some NFL interest and a bigger stage would likely give him even more exposure.
