COLONIE, N.Y. -- Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan is expected to give her proposed budget for 2013 to the town board today.
Not many details of next year's budget are available, but we do know that it stays within the two percent tax cap. Last year's $82 million budget was down 11 percent from 2010.
Mahan says that was because the town was able to reach an agreement on who would run the landfill and that the town managed to repay funds it owed to the highway fund.
A public hearing on the proposed budget is scheduled for November.
