TROY, N.Y. -- Crews responded to a manhole that became dislodged in Troy Thursday. It happened on Fifth Avenue between Federal and Jacob streets.

National Grid says the malfunction of a cable on Liberty Street sparked the underground issue. The old Hadley building lost power for a little while.

Troy police say there were no injuries or damage.

National Grid says the incident is not connected to the underground issues in Albany recently, where manhole covers blew into the air on North Pearl Street on two separate occasions. Officials say they are different parts of infrastructure that are not connected physically.
