SARATOGA COUNTY -- The Saratoga County's Republican Committee is starting the week off with a new chair. John Herrick, a Saratoga Springs resident, was appointed on Saturday at a committee meeting at the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Club.
He is replacing Jasper Nolan, who ran the committee for nearly 30 years. Herrick had previously served as Vice-Chair under Nolan, and has also chaired the Saratoga Springs GOP Committee from 2005-2011.
According to Herrick, the November elections are very much on his mind, and he is pushing for a victory from each Republican in a state race. In the coming months, he plans to grown the Saratoga County Young Republicans.
