Tough day for New York football fans
STATEWIDE -- From Western New York to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, all three New York football teams fell to their opponents on Sunday.
In Buffalo, the Bills had a 21-7 edge over visiting New England before the Patriots eventually outscored Buffalo 45-7 the rest of the way for a final score of 52-28. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for an impressive 350 yards and four touchdowns. However, he also had four interception.
The Jets had even less luck against their competition as the San Francisco 49ners put up 34 unanswered points at Met Life Stadium. The Jets failed to score a single point giving them a 2-2 record and share of the AFC East with the Patriots and Bills.
Notably, a week after losing cornerback Darrelle Revis to a season-ending knee injury, wide receiver Santonio Holmes left the game with an injury to his foot.
And to cap off a gray day in New York, the Giants took a loss in Philadelphia as the Eagles edged out a 19-17 win. Giants' Kicker Lawrence Tynes missed a potential game winning field goal with 15 seconds left on the clock.
