ALBANY, N.Y. -- Funeral services are scheduled for the 11-year-old who was killed after he tried to stop a minivan from rolling into oncoming traffic.

Police say Lane Rowe was at his family’s home on Blue Barns Road in Burnt Hills on Monday when a car in the driveway began rolling backwards toward the street. No one was in the driver’s seat, but three of Lane's siblings were inside the minivan. Police say Rowe tried to stop the van by standing behind it. That's when he fell underneath.

Memorial services will be held at the Burnt Hills Methodist Church tomorrow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family says contributions can be made to the "Lane Rowe Memorial Fund" at any branch of the Ballston Spa National Bank.
