Another man down for the Jets
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- It doesn't get any better for Jets Fans.
For the second time in two weeks, the Jets lose another top player to injury. First it was pro-bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis, and now the Jets have announced that Santonio Holmes has been placed on the Injured Reserve as well.
Holmes injured his foot against San Francisco this past weekend. He went down after catching a ball that he eventually tossed into the air, resulting in a 49ers touchdown. He has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc injury, requiring surgery.
This comes at a bad time for the Jets' offense as they'll face off against arguably the best defense in the NFL this weekend in Houston.
