MASSACHUSETTS -- Republican Senator Scott Brown has received an endorsement from former Massachusetts Governor William Weld. Weld served as governor from 1991 to 1997.
Experts say Weld's endorsement is critical for Brown, as he continues to reach out to voters. Weld is scheduled to appear with Brown at Brown's campaign headquarters in Boston today.
The endorsement comes a day after African American clergy in Boston endorsed Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren. The ministers said Warren is the better candidate to face the challenges in the state's urban neighborhoods.
Today, Warren plans to campaign with Caroline Kennedy and Mayor Tom Menino in Boston.
