MASSACHUSETTS -- The candidates in the heated Massachusetts Senate race are weighing in on the release of the latest jobs report. Republican incumbent Scott Brown said that while the numbers are encouraging, he believes there are still too many people looking for work, and the economy is still slowly recovering.

His opponent, Democrat Elizabeth Warren, said the numbers are encouraging, and are a step in the right direction. Warren added that Republicans in Congress need to work with the Democrats on legislation to try to put more people back to work.

Friday's report showed the unemployment rate dropped to 7.8 percent, marking the lowest in three years.
