COHOES, N.Y. -- The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York celebrated their 25th anniversary on Sunday in a sweet way. It is called the Sundae of Wishes, and the organization shared a 25-pound sundae with local Wish Kids, families, and supporters at the Stewart's Shop on New Scotland Road in Cohoes.

The event was free for everyone involved. The foundation's CEO said events like this are all about the kids they are able to help.

"More than 90 percent of the kids that we serve, do in fact survive their illnesses, so that's what this is all about, is celebrating the fact that this experience is helping these kids get better," said Bill Trigg, Make-A-Wish Foundation CEO.
