Man arrested on assault, robbery charges

DUANESBURG, N.Y. -- State Police arrested an Esperance man they say beat up and robbed a 68-year-old man who has only one arm.

Troopers were called to the Stewart's Shop on Route 20 in Duanesburg after a call of a fight between two customers. They say Justin Annis, 31, punched the victim several times and stole dollars from the victim’s wallet. Troopers say he then drove away, but a customer was able to give them his license plate number.

Monday, Annis turned himself into State Police. He has beens charged with robbery and assault and is being held at Schenectady County Jail.

The victim suffered bruises on his face and head.
